Community Restorative Justice Research Intern 

Supervisor: Jodie Geddes

Schedule: 10 hrs/wk

Duration: 6 months to 1 year

Job Description and Duties:

  • Attend weekly supervision meeting
  • Attend weekly staff meeting
  • Research community restorative justice initiatives globally and in the United States
  • Create a resource guide, and support with implementation
  • Assist with community restorative justice circles including, but not limited to, logistical support and participation in circles
  • Seek to build strong and supportive relationships with youth and communities

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrates research experience
  • Familiar with the language of restorative justice
  • Experience working with issues of mass incarceration
  • Knowledge of public policy

Truth-telling, Racial healing, and Reparations Project Intern

Supervisor: Jodie Geddes

Duration: 6 months to 1 year

Job Description and Duties:

  • Attend weekly supervision meeting
  • Attend weekly staff meeting
  • Research and analyze TRC models globally and in the United States
  • Support Truth-telling, racial healing, and Reparations Project coordinator in the design and development of network maps
  • Convene individuals and organizations working on truth-telling, racial healing, reparations, reconciliation and other models of restorative justice
  • Seek to build strong and supportive relationships with youth and communities

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Demonstrates research experience
  • Familiar with the language of Restorative Justice
  • Experience working with issues of racial justice

Administrative Assistant Intern

Supervisor: Louise Kahara

Schedule: 10 hrs/wk

Duration: 6 months to 1 year

Job Description and Duties:

  • Attend weekly staff meeting
  • Assist with agendas and note-taking for staff meetings
  • Assist with logistics for agency trainings, events and speaking engagements, including registration, supplies, catering, and other tasks as needed
  • Perform various clerical tasks including data entry, copying, filing, sorting mail, answering phones and directing calls
  • Provide assistance as needed to Operations manager and Executive Director with grant applications and reports.
  • Assist with other office f\unctions and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Office/ Administrative experience
  • Must be a quick learner and self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Highly proficient computer skills
  • Familiar with the language of Restorative Justice
